Miss United States and Miss Teen DC United States to Appear at Race for Every Child October 5

On Saturday, October 5, 2013, your Miss United States Candiace Dillard (formerly Miss DC) and Miss Teen DC United States Colby Muhammad will take part in opening ceremonies at the Race for Every Child at Freedom Plaza, Washington, DC at Pennsylvania Avenue and 13th Street, NW. Miss Dillard will sing the national anthem on the main stage.

The event will include a run, walk and Kids' Dash. This new annual event benefits Children's National Medical Center and promotes children’s health and the benefits of exercise for children and families. Participants, sponsors, and partners will have a chance to meet leading experts in pediatrics and hear inspiring stories of children who are thriving after being treated at Children's National.
